We look good don't we?
Not everyone did as well and there were a lot of 'swimmers' in the river. Swimmers are people who are thrown out of the raft. Guides in kayaks are watching for swimmers and get to them quickly. Swimmers grab onto the kayak and everyone meets up in the calm water below the rapids.

...and so we made our way down the Nile until it was evening
At the end of a long day I stopped for a moment before getting into the van and took this picture of a farmer resting for a moment under the wonderful African sky and its reflection in the Nile.
