Why is this site so clunky?
1: I'm not an expert at web programming.
2: I put it together using an old version of Dreamweaver over three full, long weekends, using all my leisure time, and now I'm done. It's a sunny day and I'm going outside. I'm not putting any more serious time into this site.
3: I'm not an expert at preparing images for the web. Some images may be oversharpened, have too many colors, etc. If I knew exactly what was wrong, I'd fix it, but I don't.
4: The navigation works but for reasons I can't explain looks weird at the bottom of every page in IE but ok in Firefox. If I understood why this was so, I'd fix it.
5: If you have suggestions for improvement, email me and I'll learn something from you.
This site was put together by the same guy that carried this much gear up and back down the Virunga Mountains, which explains a lot about the site. Note how much gear he has, and how the tripod is hanging on by one strap instead of being secured in the tripod pocket. Regarding the mental capabilities of this man, this small oversight is very revealing.
