Dr Chea Samnang

This is Dr. Chea Samnang - Goodwill Ambassador for UNFPA in Cambodia. He's a Cambodian physician who is also a well-known star of movies and karaoke. Or maybe he is a movie star and karaoke recording artist who is also a physician, but it really doesn't matter. He's effective.

He told me that he spends 20 - 30 days a year of his own time traveling, like we did on the dusty back roads of Cambodia, to meet with young people in remote parts of the country, and help them understand how to take care of their health.

In his role as Goodwill Ambassador he has traveled to UN Headquarters in New York City and met Kofi Annan and Angelia Jolie.

But what I saw was his ability to engage the children of Cambodia, and delight them at the same time.

There should be more Dr. Chea Samnangs in this world.
